Disputes

Timely legal advice may help to minimise your exposure to financial or other risk in the event that things don't go smoothly and result in a dispute. Disputes may arise in relation to many written or verbal contracts such as:

  • Contracts for the sale or purchase of a horse.
  • Loan or Part Share Agreements or arrangements.
  • Livery Agreements or arrangements.
  • The supply of goods or services.
  • Debt recovery.

Disputes may also arise in relation to:

  • Veterinary Negligence.
  • Liability under the Animals Act 1971 or the Animal Welfare Act 2006.

Often disputes can be resolved by talking through the issues with the other party. However, in some instances it may be necessary to resort to legal proceedings. We will consider the terms of your contract, the facts of your dispute and all available evidence. We will then advise you as to the remedies available to you.
