Loaning/ Part Share

Do you loan or part share a horse?

If you loan or part share a horse we can draft an agreement setting out each person's responsibilities and entitlements such as:

  • Who pays for insurance, feed, shoeing, worming, vets bills, tack, rugs, stabling and grazing costs.
  • The time table for exercising the horse.
  • The time table for mucking out, turning out and feeding.
  • Who is responsible for the horse if one person is ill or tied up at work.

An agreement will also record the duration of the arrangement and provisions for termination in the event that either party wishes to withdraw from the arrangement. Such an agreement will make things easier to manage, avoid the potential for misunderstandings and save heartache in the event things do not work out as anticipated.
