Intellectual Property and Commercial

All businesses have intellectual property rights to a greater or lesser extent. Intellectual property rights exist with or without registration in a number of forms and are essentially the right to stop others infringing those rights. The rights exist in written works in copyright, in inventions in patents, in names in trade marks, in designs in design rights and in confidential information. The period of protection varies from right to right and may come onto existence automatically or by registration.

Commercial law covers all aspects of contract law including agency, distribution, IT, marketing, research and development and licensing.

We have a highly experienced team lead by Neil Maybury able to handle all aspects of Intellectual Property and Commercial Law both contentious and non-contentious. We are also able to handle trade mark and registered design applications, intellectual property audits and valuations.
